Professional Bio
Hee Man Park is the graduate program director and an associate professor of Human Resource Management at the School of Labor and Employment Relations. He holds a Ph.D. in Management and Human Resources from The Ohio State University, Fisher College of Business, and a Master’s degree in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University. Hee Man Park’s research centers on fostering sustainable and healthy workplaces by examining career and occupational inequality, fair pay practices, and the dynamics of inclusion and exclusion in supervisor-subordinate relationships. His teaching interests include total rewards, compensation analytics, capstone courses in Human Resource and Employment Relations, and organizational leadership at both the graduate and undergraduate levels.
Hee Man Park's work has been published in prestigious management and psychology journals, including Academy of Management Journal, Personnel Psychology, Annual Review of Organizational Psychology and Organizational Behavior, Journal of Organizational Behavior, and Personality and Social Psychology Bulletin. He has also received multiple Best Reviewer Awards and the Editor's Commendation Award from the Journal of Business and Psychology. Before pursuing his Ph.D., he worked as an HR business partner and corporate culture analyst in global high-tech companies, including Samsung Electronics in South Korea and Hewlett Packard in Houston, Texas, and Palo Alto, California. Dr. Park is passionate about tennis and has completed a USTA Level 1 coach workshop.
