Professional Bio
Hee Man Park is an Assistant Professor of Human Resource Management in the School of Labor and Employment Relations. He holds Ph.D. in Management and HR from the Ohio State University, Fisher College of Business and Master’s degree in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University. Dr. Park’s research interests pertain to the role that the social environment (especially leader behavior and a pattern of interpersonal relationships: social networks) plays in explaining the performance and well-being of organizational members. His papers have been published in highly regarded management and psychology journals such as Academy of Management Journal, Personnel Psychology, Annual Review of Organizational Psychology and Organizational Behavior, Journal of Organizational Behavior, and Personality and Social Psychology Bulletin. Before getting his PhD, he worked as a HR business partner/corporate culture analyst in global high-tech companies such as Samsung Electronics in South Korea and Hewlett Packard in Houston, Texas and Palo Alto, California. He currently teaches employment compensation at the undergraduate level and capstone course in Human Resource and Employment Relations at the graduate level.
