Professional Bio

Dionne R. Wiggins is vice president for people and culture at American Jewish World Service in New York City, where she leads strategic human resources partnerships, recruitment, payroll and benefits, and labor and employee relations, fostering a culture of care, accountability, and inclusion. She began her career as an attorney, earning a B.S. in legal studies from John Jay College of Criminal Justice and a J.D. from Widener University School of Law (2006) before pivoting to human resources. She held roles at the New York City Department of Education, among other organizations, before earning her M.P.S. in human resources and employment relations from Penn State via World Campus in 2013. Wiggins is a staunch advocate for women, people of color, and individuals with disabilities. She was recognized as the School of LER's Outstanding Alumni in 2022 and is the first Penn State World Campus graduate to receive that honor.
