World Campus SHRM Student Chapter Earns Merit Award

May 29, 2018

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) national organization has awarded the Penn State World Campus student chapter the Merit Award for excellence and achievement during the 2017-2018 academic year. The chapter will be recognized at the SHRM Annual Conference and Exposition in Chicago, Illinois, June 17 - June 20, 2018.

The chapter worked tirelessly to make its first year as a Penn State organization a success and has begun to plan for the 2018-19 academic year activities. The chapter has members from across the country who are interested in all aspects of the human resource experience, including training and staffing, employment and labor law, organizational training and ethics and employee relations.

The virtual chapter meets online in video conferences to plan and discuss upcoming events for the chapter, as well as provide an opportunity for World Campus students to meet fellow classmates who are studying within the School of Labor and Employment Relations.
