Cargill Launches the 2016 Competition of the Cargill Global Scholars Program
Cargill and the Institute of International Education (IIE) are pleased to announce the launch of
the 2016 Cargill Global Scholars Program application cycle.
We have deeply valued our partnership with Pennsylvania State University over the past three years of the program and hope to continue this partnership in the program’s fourth year. We would also like to extend congratulations to the student from Pennsylvania State University who was selected as a Cargill Global Scholars for the 2015 application cycle.
As a partner university, your first and second year undergraduate students who demonstrate
exemplary academic achievement, leadership potential and study in a field relevant to Cargill’s
world of food, agriculture and risk management are eligible to apply.
In addition to an annual scholarship award of $2,500 for up to two years, the Cargill Global
Scholars Program provides leadership development opportunities through seminars, networking events, and a one-on-one mentoring program with executives from Cargill. These enrichment activities have been designed to help foster and enhance the Cargill Global Scholars’ leadership potential and critical thinking skills, and equip them with the tools necessary for becoming global leaders and decisions makers. In the United States 10 scholarships will be awarded during the 2016 academic year. Students specializing in any of the following areas are encouraged to apply.
The application deadline is March 1, 2016 and we are currently accepting applications online,
