Our trainings are built from workers’ experiences, incorporate new knowledge, and offer participants ways to apply what they have learned from us and from each other. We aim to make all our programs accessible, engaging, and fun!
Customized Trainings
Looking for something tailored to meet the needs of your organization? The Labor School offers customized education programs for local unions, labor councils, and other labor organizations on a variety of subjects. Customized trainings are:
- Flexible and created around the topic(s) identified by your organization
- Designed to meet your organization’s desired outcomes
- Delivered at the location you choose
Half Day Rate:
- $600 per instructor
- 4 hours of consultation and preparation time
Full Day Rate:
- $1,200 per instructor
- 8 hours of consultation and preparation time
The above rates apply to both customized training and organizational development services and include travel time. Some customized training may require more significant consultation and/or curriculum development, which will be charged at the rate of $150 per hour.
Organizations will be invoiced for any direct travel costs incurred, such as lodging, per diem, mileage for instructors, and materials purchased for the program.

Our labor educators are available to support your executive board, staff and member committees to strengthen internal capacity. We offer consulting services on a range of organizational issues including applied survey research and facilitating strategic planning sessions and meetings.

Half Day Rate: $600 per instructor
Full Day Rate: $1,200 per instructor
- Rates include planning with your organizations to design an effective program, travel time to and from the training, as well as all materials.
- Organizations will be invoiced for any direct travel costs incurred, such as lodging, per diem, mileage for instructors.
- Hourly services beyond the included planning hours are generally charged at the rate of $150/hour. If your organization is interested in more regular consulting, a package rate may be negotiated.
