It is an honor and pleasure to share the Summer 2024 Center newsletter.

This newsletter is dedicated to our founding director Mark Anner whose vision and dedication has shaped the Center activities since 2011. He is leaving Penn State to join Rutgers University as its Dean of the School of Management and Labor Relations. The article on Strategic Worker-Driven Co-Research Method in this newsletter summarizes one of his recent academic contributions to our work. Thank you, Mark!

This edition of the newsletter includes information on the recent Tenth CGWR Symposium, the Center’s report on workers’ rights in the palm oil sector in Honduras, and the impact of the Center and LGWR Master Program in Penn State and beyond. Other stories cover the celebration of the 20th Anniversary of the Global Labour University, participation of LGWR students at the 2024 Labor Notes Conference, and the visit of Karla Hernández-Mats, the president of the United Teachers of Dade union.
