In conjunction with the School of Labor and Employment Relations Undergraduate and Graduate Spring 2023 Awards ceremony, we had the exciting opportunity to award Valerie Bennardo '11 with our first annual G.O.L.D. (Graduate of the Last Decade) Award!
This award goes to an alumni of the School of LER who graduated within the last 10 years and has amassed impressive work experience.
Valerie would’ve received this award sooner if it weren’t for the delay due to the pandemic. Keith Petrosky, Co-Chair of the LER Alumni Board, had the honor of presenting Valerie with her award.
During Valerie's time at Penn State she earned her B.S. degree from our School of LER, a minor in Economics, and went on to obtain her M.S. in Human Resources and Employment Relations (HRER) in 2011.
Since entering the workforce, she has had nothing short of an impressive career. Valerie has worked at Deloitte Consulting LLP for the past 11 years, where she currently serves as their Human Capital Senior Manager.
She describes herself as a solution-oriented talent adviser who excels working alongside clients to develop collaborative approaches to impact business results. Valerie has over 11 years of hands-on human capital consulting experience focusing on maximizing talent assets, driving ongoing employee development, initiating strategic change, and implementing flexible models for organizational design for the world’s leading companies.
She has impacted the world of work in so many important ways. WE ARE honored to recognize her as the first recipient of this exciting G.O.L.D. award!
