Greetings from the Center for Global Workers’ Rights!

It is my great pleasure to share with you the latest Center newsletter. It has been some time since our last newsletter, and there have been many exciting developments. Our first major development is the hiring of Luis Mendoza as the Center’s Administrative Support Coordinator. In addition to many other tasks, Luis was instrumental in the production of this newsletter (with the assistance of Tara Mathur).

For the newsletter, we have added a digital format while also keeping our traditional print format style. In this newsletter you will learn about the exciting appointment of Dr. Elaine Hui as the director of the MPS program in Labor and Global Workers’ Rights (LGWR), our 2023 symposium, an update on our labor rights dataset, new grants for research on Mexico and workers’ voice, news on our LGWR past and current cohorts, and recent faculty publications.
