Biography:

Mr. Medoza is lawyer accredited by the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru. He was trained specifically in the areas of Labor and Social Security Law. Significant experience includes university teaching, academic research, and writing legal reports. In Peru, Mr. Mendoza worked as a trade union attorney and a law professor at the Pontifical Catholic University. He was one of the co-authors of a complaint filed by unions against the Peruvian State for the breach of labor rights under the Trade Promotion Agreement with the United States. In the U.S., he has volunteered with the Capital Area Immigrants' Rights Coalition and CASA Maryland providing legal interpretation and case intake assistance for unauthorized immigrants in detention camps. Mr. Mendoza is also a member of the International Lawyers Assisting Workers Network, a membership organization for union and worker rights’ lawyers who want to exchange ideas and information in order to best represent the rights and interests of workers and their organizations. He is currently a master’s student in the Labor and Global Workers' Rights Program at the Pennsylvania State University.  

A trained research and human rights advocate, Mr. Mendoza wishes to bring his substantial experience in the struggle for workers’ rights and Spanish skills with a U.S. based union, NGO, or other progressive organization dedicated to promoting the interests of workers.
