Biography:
Chad Gray is a PhD candidate in Labor Relations department of the Industrial and Labor Relations (ILR) School at Cornell University. His dissertation research focuses on the development of cross-border union networks by the Brazilian CUT union. He received his BA from the George Washington University in 2002 and his MS from Cornell in 2009.
Chad worked as an organizer for the Union of Needletrades, Industrial and Textile Employees (UNITE!) from 2002-2005. While at Cornell he worked on labor research projects for the ILR Office of Labor Education Research and the Cornell Global Labor Institute, as well as projects for the Service Employees' International Union (SEIU), the International Longshoreman's Association (ILA), and the National Guestworker Alliance (NGA). Since 2008 he has also been an instructor at Cornell's Strategic Corporate Research Summer School.
He currently lives in Mexico City with his wife and daughter and works as a research consultant for the Project on Organizing, Development, Education, and Research (PODER).
