Biography:

Carlo Gabriel O. Tabia (he/his) is a graduate student pursuing a Master of Professional Studies in Labor and Global Workers' Rights at the Pennsylvania State University. Carlo also earned a diploma in Industrial Relations at the University of the Philippines-School of Labor and Industrial Relations (UP -SOLAIR), where he got elected as the Chairman of the UP-SOLAIR Student Council academic year 2018 to 2020.

In 2011, at the early age of 25, he got elected as the union president in his company Security Bank Corporation, becoming the youngest among the union presidents in the Philippine banking and finance sectors and still up to this time. He is also the current Chairman of the Youth Committee of the Philippines' biggest labor federation, the Philippine Trade and General Workers Organization (PTGWO), an affiliate of Trade Union Congress of the Philippines (TUCP). His advocacy is for the proper implementation of labor laws to uphold the workers' rights to establish decent work for all. As a young leader in the labor movement, he firmly believes that young workers' energy and fresh ideas would significantly impact transforming the workers' lives and employment conditions globally to spread social justice in the world of work.

In 2019, Carlo represented the Philippine workers' sector in the International Labor Organization conference held in Geneva, Switzerland.
