Introduction to Workplace Investigations

This is an asynchronous (self-paced) class which is instructor-led. Students will address a variety of critical issues associated with workplace investigations, including:

  1. Critical definitions
  2. The use of the investigatory question to organize an investigation
  3. The four forms of evidence (testimonial, documentary, physical and demonstrative)
  4. The two types of evidence (direct and circumstantial)
  5. Investigative best policies
  6. Investigative best practices

The course includes commentaries, short video lectures, internet sources, quizzes, short essays and instructor feedback. Students can also schedule Zoom meetings with the instructor as needed.
