We have an opportunity for a full-time Human Resources (HR) Assistant to be a part of the Support Team at our State College headquarters. The individual will be expected to serve as the first point of contact for HR inquires and staff member support. The role will support all HR functions and requires a professional committed to success by embracing and living our core values of Persistence, Integrity, Trust, Accountability and Prudence.

Expectations

  • Promote staff member relations and provide outstanding customer service in all forms of communication with job applicants, office-based and remote staff members, and members of the leadership team 
  • Assist with sourcing of candidates for current and future positions 
  • Coordinate candidate interviews with hiring authorities 
  • Schedule travel and lodging for candidate interviews and new staff member orientation 
  • Prepare interview materials and edit notes post interview 
  • Support new staff member onboarding and orientation 
  • Perform data entry and maintain confidential files pertaining to Human Resources 
  • Execute monthly tasks related to performance management 


Basic Requirements, Knowledge and Skills 

  • Associates Degree in HR or related field 
  • 2 years relevant experience 
  • General knowledge of relevant employment laws and practices 
  • Experience in administration of benefits and other HR programs 
  • Skills in data entry and record keeping for database management 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications, specifically Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook Demonstrate 
  • excellent organizational, communications and relationship management skills 
  • Demonstrate ability to exhibit a high level of confidentiality 
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner 
  • Valid Driver’s License with the ability to travel to regional offices as required

The Employee/Labor Relations Manager will coach and counsel employees and managers on matters of performance, disciplinary actions and policy interpretation. Will function as the point of contact for activities related to the organizations collective bargaining agreement such as management of grievances, attending arbitrations and ULP hearings, assisting in negotiations and communications. Bachelors Degree in Human Resources or related field preferred Minimum of 5 years previous Human Resources experience
