Biography:

Michael Krajewski is from rural western Pennsylvania and is a second year graduate student in the Human Resources and Employment Relations Masters of Science program. Prior to his attendance at Penn State University, Michael attended West Virginia University where he received a bachelor of science degree in Psychology and a minor in Investigative Forensic Science. While at West Virginia University he gained research experience through course work and assisting in the university’s Life Span Developmental Laboratory, where he conducted coding and analysis of data. During his senior year Michael studied rational thinking and risky financial investments as part of a research capstone experience.

 

Michael comes from a blue-collar family where he has been involved in his family’s business, Krajewski Custom Meat Processing, since June 2009, but has since reduced his duties in December of 2017. As Projects Specialist and Assistant Butcher for the business, Michael prioritized and oversaw daily tasks and created an efficient storage process for customer orders. Currently, Michael works as a Research Assistant at PSU for Dr. Hee Man Park, as well as for The HR Office, Inc. on assignment as an HR Assistant for Glenn O. Hawbaker, Inc. In his Research Assistant position, Michael assists Dr. Park in studying topics relating to leader and follower dynamics, commitment, compensation, and employee wellness. As an HR Assistant for Glenn O. Hawbaker, Inc. Michael has been largely responsible for continuously updating excel spreadsheets containing information on DOT certified medical facilities and employee DOT physical certification records.

 

In the Fall of 2012 Michael graduated from the Dale Carnegie Public Speaking Training course. During the Fall 2015, Spring 2016, and Fall 2016 semesters Michael made West Virginia University’s President’s List. Michael has and continues to be involved in volunteer service throughout the community, as he is an active Eucharistic Minister, 3rd degree member of the Knights of Columbus, and participates in intramural sports.
