Weichun Zhu is an Assistant Professor of Labor and Employment Relations, Pennsylvania State University. His primary research interests include leadership and cross-culture management. Dr. Zhu’s research interests include transformational and charismatic leadership and their influence processes; crisis leadership and its antecedents, consequences, and functional mechanisms; and ethical leadership and decision making in organizations. He is also interested in the leadership issues in the global and cross-cultural contexts. Dr. Zhu’s prior research has been published in Personnel Psychology, The Leadership Quarterly, & Journal of Organizational Behavior, among others.
Dr. Zhu holds Ph.D. degree in management from University of Nebraska Lincoln, M.Sc. degree in Management from the National University of Singapore, M.A. degree in management engineering, & B.A. degree in mining engineering from Shandong University of Science & Technology in China. Before joining LESR, he had been a postdoctoral fellow in Harvard Kennedy School of Government, Claremont McKenna College, and taught at Penn State Great Valley. He is also a visiting professor in Tsinghua University’s School of Economics and Management in China.
