Dincer Atli has joined Labor and Employment Relations at Pennsylvania State University, USA as a Post-doctoral visiting scholar for academic year 2014/2015. Dinçer Atlı was born in Istanbul in 1979. After finishing High School, he enrolled at the communications faculty at Istanbul University. While pursuing his studies, he worked as a project assistant Turkey’s leader communication companies. After his graduation, he enrolled at Istanbul University where he gained his master(M.A.) in economics in 2005, majoring on the Corporate Culture and Its Impacts in Turkey. After completing his military service he moved on working as a Human Resources specialist on Turkcell Group and also attended P.h.D program in Marmara University.
He gained a scholarship during his PhD education from the Istanbul Chamber Of Commerce (ITO). This scholarship has been granted due to his position as the highest ranked student during his master’s education. His PhD thesis (Human Resources Managements’ New Vision: Talent Management and a Research On Media Companies), the first in Turkey to focus on the subject of Talent Management, was submitted in 2010. Dr. Atli’s enhanced PhD dissertation was published in 2012 as a book which was the first of its kind regarding Talent Management in Turkey. (2nd edition 2013)
He has gained the necessary competence in the fields of talent management, human resources, corporate culture, employer branding and employer attractiveness to conduct the aforementioned research from his academic as well as his professional experience.
He worked as a Assist. Prof. Dr. at a foundation university’s Faculty Of Economics And Administrative Sciences in Turkey during 2010-2013. He is a Assist. Prof. Dr. at Uskudar University, Faculty of Communication. His research interests are talent management, employer branding, media organizations, social media and virtual worlds.
Dr. Atli’s research papers on Talent Management and Employer Attractiveness were published in the respective leading peer reviewed academic journals in Turkey. Besides that, He has been frequently invited by several national TV and radio stations as well as newspapers to present the subject of talent management.
