I am enrolled in an Integrated Undergraduate Graduate Program. I will graduate in the spring of 2017 with my Bachelor’s of science degree in Labor and Employment Relations and my Master's degree in Human Resources and Employment Relations. I currently work part-time at a Starbucks in Downtown, State College. Working at Starbucks has not only taught me how to create the perfect foam or how to misspell common names, but made me realize the importance of employee training, recognition, and the impact it can have on success. I realized that the more I was recognized and appreciated as an employee the more I wanted to help the business be successful. Once I realized this I knew I wanted to become a Human Resources professional. I want to help employees have meaningful careers and to achieve their goals along with helping the company grow and be successful. This past summer I was a Human Capital Management and Talent Acquisition intern at B.Braun Medical in Bethlehem, PA. I learned a lot about corporate policies and thinking strategically about business needs. I have also previously held a Human Resources Intern position at Shipley Energy in York, Pa. During my time at Shipley I rotated through recruiting, benefits, payroll, safety, training and development. I am excited to graduate and begin my career in human resources!
