Education:

Biography:

Alexander Gallas is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science, University of Kassel, and one of the editors of the Global Labour Journal. He has a PhD and an MA in Sociology, both from Lancaster University, and a Magister Artium in Philosophy from the Free University of Berlin. In his monograph The Thatcherite Offensive: A Neo-Poulantzasian Analysis (Leiden, 2015), he analyzes the reorganization of class relations under the Conservative governments in Britain in the 1980s and 90s. His research interests include labor relations in Western Europe as well as class and state theory.
