Biography:

I am a first year graduate student pursuing an M.S. in Human Resources and Employment Relations. I recently graduated with an Honors B.S. in Psychology from Penn State.  My focus was on social psychology, and I aspire to apply my expertise in this area to a career as an HR professional in the future.  I am particularly interested in the staffing function of HR, but I am open to exploring many areas of HR as a future career path.

During my time as an undergraduate, I conducted research in the Social Perception and Emotion Lab, which included completing an honors thesis on the topic of holistic processing of faces and its impact on perceived attractiveness.  This experience allowed me to develop in-depth research and collaboration skills.  I also presented my research concepts and findings multiple times at the Psi Chi Research Conferences and Eastern Psychological Association Undergraduate Research Conference.

In my sophomore year of my undergraduate, I studied abroad in Freiburg, Germany for a semester.  I traveled extensively independently and with a small group of peers, which allowed me to develop a global perspective and leadership skills.

In my spare time, I enjoy working part-time as a server at a local restaurant, travelling, learning and improving my skills in German language, running and improving personal fitness, and spending time with friends.  I am an out-going and driven person, and I am excited to find an internship that will allow me to bring my knowledge, enthusiasm, and skills to the table!
