Summary: The Talent Acquisition Assistant will work approximately 12 hours per week through the fall and provide administrative support to the talent acquisition process. You will have an opportunity to optimize the video interviewing platform focusing on acquisition rates. You may have the opportunity to directly interview and qualify candidates for openings. You will work closely with API Technologies Talent Acquisition Leader. 

 Essential Functions, Duties and Responsibilities: The below statements are intended to describe the general nature and scope of work being performed by this position.   • Supports the recruitment process for the talent acquisition team;
  • Contacts applicants and hiring managers to coordinate interviews (telephone and in person);
  • Arranges for interviews and provide travel arrangements as necessary;
  • Interacts with members of the HR team to support talent acquisition and human resources projects;
  • Conducts pre-screen assessments with candidates and presents recommendations to hiring managers;
  • Supports talent acquisition with filling the pipeline with qualified candidates through outreach;
  • Assists with team audits and compliance reports. 

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.         

Minimum Required Qualifications 

  • High School Diploma AND
  • Currently enrolled in Bachelor's degree in Human Resources AND
  • One (1) years of experience in the Human Resources field OR
  • A combination of education and experience

Certificates and Licenses: None required.  

OTHER REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES:  

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment throughout recruiting life cycle
  • Proficiency in using word processing and spreadsheet software, Internet, Applicant Tracking Systems and E-mail usage
  • Ability to quickly learn systems, processes, and procedures
  • Proven ability to work effectively with project teams and clients 

Preferred Qualifications:   Experience in full life cycle recruiting including, sourcing, qualifying, networking, assessing and job analysis, wage and salary trends, and relationship management
